Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated team player to lead our Import and Export Divisions in Sri Lanka.

​

Key Responsibilities:

​

• Candidate should be able to converse fluently in English and preferably also in Sinhala. 

• Lead and manage the export / imports shipping by planning and implementing strategies and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in both service and transit time performance.

• Handle and process all import and export documents – Application of permits/Costings/Bank Documents/Shipping Documents etc.

• Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure smooth and timely execution of shipments and necessary documentation.

• Updating and following up on outstanding orders with overseas and local suppliers.

• Understand customer needs and requirements.

• Sourcing & acquisition of new clients under the tutelage of the Directors.

• Conduct market analysis of new and existing markets.

• In charge of sales forecasts, reports and stock analysis.

• Maintain a close working relationship with key clients.

• Negotiation excellence (best price and terms).

 

Requirements:

​

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the import and export field.

• Strong leadership and communication skills and sound business judgment.

• High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality, and trust.

• Bachelor's degree in business management preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
